SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING ADPI'S
This past weekend, Addie Duling and I decided to go on a spontaneous road trip to Amarillo, TX. We both share a love and passion for traveling and thought what a better way to spend the long weekend than a road trip. Sunday morning came, and we left for our five-hour journey to the panhandle of Texas. The drive consisted of farmland, windmills, and tons of music. One of my favorite parts of road tripping is with Addie is the music she plays. I always have a whole new playlist of music to listen to by the time we get back home. After a single stop for gas and about 300 songs later we made it to the Cadillac Ranch. This odd attraction off the side of the highway had been on my bucket list for a few years now. I was so excited to see it and take some cool pictures. We also got to spray paint one of the Cadillacs ourselves and left our mark on Amarillo. After about an hour we started to get hungry and I took Addie to Torchy’s Tacos. She had never been and it’s personally one of my favorite places to get tacos. While we were eating, we decided to go to Palo Duro Canyon. This canyon was located about thirty minutes outside of Amarillo and claimed to be the 2nd largest canyon in the United States. We were super excited since neither of us had actually seen a canyon before and it did not disappoint. The canyon was massive and absolutely breathtaking. It was the coolest place I had ever been to in my life. We got to watch the sunset there and it was such a great ending to our day trip. This day was probably one of my favorite days I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait for more of our spontaneous trips.
